ACTION REQUIRED: Jonas Documents and Field Time Hotfix

Summary Statement:

A Jonas Software hotfix will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 5:00 AM  local time for Jonas Documents and Field Time.

Jonas Docs Issues:

1. The issue with mapping null values for specific customer ‘data-sets’ columns has been resolved.

2. Uploading document exception with the prompt window appearing to the user has been resolved.

3. The issue with the Lookup not working properly with some of the customers’ datasets has been corrected.

4.    Inconsistency with the number of available approvers displayed in the popup window opening from Jonas Documents and Jonas Software due to approvers having a “User restriction” for “creator” field applied that were not visible when Ask level dialog pop-up was displayed in AP Batches has been corrected.

Field Time Issues:

1.    Entry method drop-down not populating in Grid Time Entry has been corrected. For Field Time users who have J/C set as their default entry method, the Entry Method drop-down was empty in Crew/Grid entry.

2.    In Reports, when a column for earningValue, which displays Hours, Quantities, or Dollars in unique columns, the total value for each column was not being displayed. This has been corrected to include the column totals.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: Sunsetting Jonas Version 2018

Summary Statement
In the previous post from last week, we notified you that Jonas 2018 would be sunset on June 24, 2022, which means that we will no longer provide updates and enhancements for Jonas Version 2018.

Who’s Affected?
Jonas clients on Jonas Version 2018

That said, here are two important notes:

  • We will continue to provide customer support for version 2018.
  • We will continue to provide payroll updates for version 2018 through the end of 2022. This is similar to the sunset of Jonas 12.8 that received payroll support through March 2022.

When & what is happening?
On June 24, 2022, we completed the sunset of Jonas 2018. In 2020 we undertook a project to improve our ability to help you to use Jonas software to achieve your business goals. To that end, we improved our software development and release processes.

One important tactic within this project was to phase out the availability of multiple versions of Jonas software. Developing and quality-assuring multiple Jonas software versions thwarted our ability to focus on the features, enhancements, and quality of each version. As we sunset version 2018, we will be able to focus on one version of the software that is enhanced, updated, and quality-assured.

Another important tactic within this project was to stop providing one big release per year by breaking it down into four smaller releases throughout the year – with each new release replacing the previous one. This change in our release strategy enables us to adapt quickly to the rapidly changing marketplace. The most effective way we can help you to achieve your business objectives is to provide you with features and enhancements in a timely manner.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: Sunsetting Jonas Version 2018

On June 24, 2022, we are sunsetting Jonas 2018. In the next few days, we’ll send you another email to give you information and guidance on this transition, though you can find this information in this email as well.

Firstly, what does sunsetting mean?
Sunsetting means that we will no longer provide updates and enhancements for Jonas Version 2018.

If you are currently using Jonas Version 2018, we encourage you to update to the latest release at your earliest convenience. This ensures you are fully utilizing the latest features and functionalities available.

That said, here are two important notes:

ACTION REQUIRED – July 2022 Payroll Update

The July 2022 Tax Tables are now available for download.

Summary Statement
Please be advised that July 2022 Tax Tables are now available to be downloaded. These changes are only for the province of New Brunswick. The update is not required if you do not have a New Brunswick payroll.

Who’s affected?
Canadian Payroll users that process payroll in New Brunswick. In other words, if you use, or purchased Canadian Payroll AND have payroll in New Brunswick, this change will impact you.

If this impacts me, is there anything I need to do?
This update impacts both Jonas Cloud customers and customers who host their own data (either on-premise or in their own cloud storage)

  • Customers who host their own data or have their own cloud storage will need to download and complete the payroll-only update. That payroll update can be accessed here. (Note: you must be on Version 2018 or 2022 to get these changes. If you are on an earlier version, you will be required to upgrade before you can run the payroll update for these changes, as well as any future payroll tax table changes)
  • Customers who are hosted with Jonas Cloud do not need to complete an update. It will be completed by the Jonas Cloud service team automatically on June 19, 2022, at 5:00 AM your local time. No further action is required.
Please be advised even if you do not have New Brunswick payroll, you will still receive a message when calculating taxes for any pay ending dates between June 20th and June 30th. The message will ask if you want to use the July tax tables – the message can be ignored (i.e. can be answered No or Yes) if you do not have New Brunswick Payroll.

ATTENTION: Reminder to backup your Jonas data! – Protect yourself against ransomware attacks

We’d like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the repercussions of Ransomware attacks.

If you are hosting your own data, we don’t want you to get caught without access to it!

Ransomware attacks can cripple your operations, and all it takes is one of your staff clicking a link in an email.

Generally speaking, your IT team/consultants will be following best practices to ensure the safety of your assets.

That said, we do recommend the some additional steps to secure your data and operations:

  1. Invest in security training for your staff. These are courses that help you and your staff understand the risks of the sites you visit and the emails you receive, which in turn can help you avoid ransomware attacks.
  2. Here is one that we, Jonas, use internally. https://www.knowbe4.com/
  3. Make sure you backup your Jonas data files (and all other important data) on a recurring basis. Backing up your data gives you the peace of mind and security that if and when you get hit with a ransomware attack, you’ll have a safe copy of your data. We’ve put together a backup guide to help you out, below.
  4. Lastly, verify your backup and make sure it works. Practice a plan for disaster recovery by restoring your backup to an additional server/workstation and make sure it is accurate and will work in your hour of need.

If you do not have and use Jonas Payroll for the State of Alabama, this update is not required.
Please be advised that the July 2022 Payroll Only Update now contains updated withholding tables for Alabama clients on Jonas version 2018 or 2022.

Who’s affected?
All users that use US Payroll in Jonas and process payroll in the state of Alabama.

Please Note – For customers on Jonas version 12.8 or lower, in order to receive the payroll update, please update to 2022, and then complete this Payroll Update. Should you have any questions about updating to 2022, please contact your account manager.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: *CORRECTION* to [Job Billing HotFix/Update for Jonas v.2018 and v.2022 (May 30th, 2022) – US Only]

Summary Statement:
On Friday, May 27, we posted a Job Billing Hotfix Update. Since then, we discovered that the criteria for those that are affected were inaccurate from what we mentioned in our previous post. Please review this updated post to verify how this change may impact your software. To help you compare the changes, we’ve included the previous post below and underlined the updated changes for you in the current post.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may occur.

When billing lines with tax applicable were edited, the tax calculation was not being updated based on the new value. Jonas is deploying an update to the current release of 2018 and 2022 today, Monday, May 30th to address this issue.

Who’s affected?
US Job Costing clients who have:

  • Downloaded and installed the April 2018 or 2022 product update, AND
  • Edited Job Cost Invoice values in Review/Edit Job Invoices menu

If you meet both of the above criteria, this will impact your Jonas software.

When & What is happening?
On the afternoon of Monday, May 30, 2022, this update will be available for you to download via Jonas Connect.

If this impacts me, is there anything else I need to do?

  • For Clients Who Host Their Own Data On-Premise/Their Own Cloud Storage
    If this issue impacts you, we recommend that you download and reinstall the last update for your current version at your earliest convenience.If you are unable to reinstall the update prior to issuing an affected Job Billing invoice, please make any needed corrections to the Job invoice by modifying the values in ‘Enter Progress to Date’ and merging the data into a new job invoice rather than editing the currently merged invoice values. In the event you are processing a manual invoice, please delete the entry and create a new one instead.

    No action is required of you. Your update will be completed by the Jonas Cloud Team on June 2, 2022 at 11:00 PM local time.

ATTENTION: Reminder to backup your Jonas data! – Protect yourself against ransomware attacks

We’d like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the repercussions of Ransomware attacks.

If you are hosting your own data, we don’t want you to get caught without access to it!

Ransomware attacks can cripple your operations, and all it takes is one of your staff clicking a link in an email.

Generally speaking, your IT team/consultants will be following best practices to ensure the safety of your assets.

That said, we do recommend the some additional steps to secure your data and operations:

  1. Invest in security training for your staff. These are courses that help you and your staff understand the risks of the sites you visit and the emails you receive, which in turn can help you avoid ransomware attacks.
  2. Here is one that we, Jonas, use internally. https://www.knowbe4.com/
  3. Make sure you backup your Jonas data files (and all other important data) on a recurring basis. Backing up your data gives you the peace of mind and security that if and when you get hit with a ransomware attack, you’ll have a safe copy of your data. We’ve put together a backup guide to help you out, below.
  4. Lastly, verify your backup and make sure it works. Practice a plan for disaster recovery by restoring your backup to an additional server/workstation and make sure it is accurate and will work in your hour of need.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: Bug in Q3 Update for Jonas 2018 and 2021

Summary Statement:

The Q3 update for both Jonas 2018.3271 and Jonas 2021.Q3 contained a critical bug that may impact some clients. The bug may result in “Charge Parts to Work Order” entries posting out of balance, beginning from the last time Jonas was updated.

Who’s affected?

Clients who meet both of the following criteria may be impacted by this issue:

  • Clients who have completed the Q3 update (Jonas 2018 or Jonas 2021) since October 14th may be impacted by this issue.
  • Users who charge parts to a work order using “Charge Parts to Job & W/O” (either through the Inventory or Service Billing module), where the Service System Profile STAR Option – N/A Parts: Do a J/E is set to OFF.

If this impacts me, is there anything I need to do? 

Please carefully review your audit previews prior to posting Charge Parts entries. Correcting journal entries will be required to resolve any incorrect postings that have already occurred.

Please review the following KB Article to identify if you have been impacted, as well as steps to take to correct your postings.

If assistance is required in correcting your entries, please have your Customer Administrator / Controller log a case via Jonas Connect, with the subject, “One-sided journal entry – Charge Parts Out of balance”.

For Customers Who Host Their Own Data/Have Their Own Cloud Storage:

Even if you have run it previously, please download and run the latest version of the ‘Payroll Update and Hotfix patch’ dated January 17th. The update can be downloaded HERE.

For Jonas Cloud customers:

No action is required on your part. This update was included in the January 18th payroll update that was previously scheduled.

Summary Statement

The January 2022 Payroll Update now contains updated withholding tables for the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Who’s affected?

This update affects U.S. Payroll users that process payroll in any of the following states: Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island and Vermont. Both Jonas Cloud customers and customers who host their own data (either on-premise or in their own cloud storage) are impacted.

For Jonas Cloud users: No action is required by Jonas Cloud users. The update will be completed by the Jonas Cloud service team on January 5th at 5:00AM Local Time.

ACTION REQUIRED: January 2022 Family Leave and Medical Plan Changes

Summary Statement

The rates for Family and Medical Leave in Massachusetts, New York and Washington have changed. This change will impact your setup for Family and Medical Leave in Jonas. The links in this email advise on the rate changes and how to update the changes in Jonas once you have processed your last payroll in Jonas for tax year 2021.

Who’s affected?

This affects all US Payroll users that process payroll in the state of Massachusetts, New York and Washington.

To be as clear and succinct as possible, given our understanding of the nature of the issue, the Jonas Enterprise Software does not expose any of our clients to this security vulnerability described in the CVE-2021-44228. We make this promise because we do not use, in any way, the Apache Log4j library. Software applications that use this code may have exposure to the security vulnerability. Because we do not use this library, we do not expose this vulnerability within the Jonas software. This includes API endpoints.

That said, if you are using other software on your device or workstation that utilizes the Apache Log4j library, we cannot guarantee that you will not be impacted by this security vulnerability. We are clarifying that this security vulnerability would never be sourced from Jonas Software or any Jonas modules you may be using.

Product updates for Jonas 2018.Q3 and Jonas 2021.Q3 will be available for download on Jonas Connect on the afternoon of Thursday, December 9th. A separate download for the January 2022 Payroll Update & Q3 Hotfix will also be available.

When & What is happening?

On the afternoon of Thursday, December 9th, product updates for versions 2018 and 2021 will be available for download. These software updates currently include critical fixes related to Jonas versions 2018 and 2021.Q3.

A separate download will also be available, titled January 2022 Payroll Update & Q3 Hotfix, which contains critical fixes for the Q3 version of Jonas. Note, this patch can be reinstalled to add updated payroll tax tables, as they become available.

If this impacts me, is there anything I need to do?

For the Product Updates:

  • If you are on version 2018.3234 OR 2021.Q3, previously released on October 14th, no action is required for the products updates.
  • If you are not on either of these versions, please CLICK HERE to download the available Software Update on Jonas Connect for your version.
  • Once you have updated to the latest release, please install the January 2022 Payroll Table Update & Q3 Hotfix immediately to ensure you have critical fixes related to this release.

For the January 2022 Payroll Update & Q3 Hotfix:

  • If you are on the 2018.3234 or 2021.Q3 release, please download the January 2022 Payroll Update & Q3 Hotfix at your earliest convenience, as it includes critical fixes for the release you are currently on.  Please note that you may need to reinstall this patch as relevant payroll updates are added.
  • If you are on 12.8 and up, and not version 2018.3234 or 2021.Q3 and prefer to only take the Payroll Table update at this time, please install the January 2022 Payroll Update & Q3 Hotfix once updates relevant to your payroll jurisdiction have been added. We will notify you as Tax Tables are released. As with other Payroll Only Updates, this patch can be installed multiple times, as additional payroll tax tables are updated.

ATTENTION: Reminder to backup your Jonas data!

We’d like to take this opportunity to make you aware of the repercussions of Ransomware attacks. If you are hosting your own data, we don’t want you to get caught without access to it!

Ransomware attacks can cripple your operations, and all it takes is one of your staff clicking a link in an email.

Generally speaking, your IT team/consultants will be following best practices to ensure the safety of your assets.

That said, we do recommend the some additional steps to secure your data and operations:

  1. Invest in security training for your staff. These are courses that help you and your staff understand the risks of the sites you visit and the emails you receive, which in turn can help you avoid ransomware attacks. Here is one that we, Jonas, use internally. https://www.knowbe4.com/
  2. Make sure you backup your Jonas data files (and all other important data) on a recurring basis. Backing up your data gives you the peace of mind and security that if and when you get hit with a ransomware attack, you’ll have a safe copy of your data. We’ve put together a backup guide to help you out, below.
  3. Lastly, verify your backup and make sure it works. Practice a plan for disaster recovery by restoring your backup to an additional server/workstation and make sure it is accurate and will work in your hour of need.

  1. On the workstation you use to access The Jonas Cloud, create a new shortcut or bookmark that you will use to ensure you connect to The Jonas Cloud’s upgrade to the new portal page: http://www.thejonascloud.com
    Note: You are typically using a “shortcut” or “bookmark” to access The Jonas Cloud at present. If you require help, please collaborate with an IT professional to create a new shortcut or bookmark.
  2. Just be aware The Jonas Cloud Team will provide you and your colleagues a new login username; however, your existing passwords will remain the same.Your usernames will be updated and changed to our new format ending in @TheJonasCloud.com
    For example:
    Your current login name appears something like this: John Johnson JJohnson@myCompany.jonasecs.com

    Your new login name will appear like this: John Johnson JJohnson@myCompany.TheJonasCloud.com

    We will send you the list of new usernames prior to the enablement.

  3. The Remote Desktop app must be updated to the newest version. Please access the instructions here.
    Follow the steps in the KB article to update the Remote Desktop on all user’s Windows machines. Stop on page 5 before the step to “Subscribe” as this will be done after we enable your new accounts and disable your current usernames.
  4. Review the documented Welcome Guide and Login instructions. Please click here to access the guide.

When & What is happening?

The 2021 Payroll Only update has been recently updated in order to account for withholding table changes for Kansas and Ohio. Please note:

  • The changes for Kansas are effective immediately.
  • For Ohio changes will impact any pay periods ending in September 01 or later. Changes are date sensitive so there is no need to wait until you process your last payroll in August before doing the update.
  • If you do not have payroll in Kansas or Ohio then the update is not required.

Sunsetting means that we will no longer provide product updates and enhancements for version 12.8.

  • We will continue to provide payroll updates for version 12.8

What’s driving the decision to sunset version 12.8?

We are “sunsetting” version 12.8 so that we can focus on releasing the latest and greatest version of Jonas software – version 2021. Version 2021 contains many new enhancements, fixes and security improvements. This version will also serve as our foundation for unique and powerful innovations, which will increase your capacity to achieve your business objectives.

Could you tell me more about Jonas 2021?

We will be posting more information about Jonas 2021 release date, as well as information on all of the exciting and powerful enhancements that it contains, which we strongly recommend for our clients to use. To that end, we’ll also provide guidance on how to effectively upgrade to this version.

  • Canadian Payroll users that process payroll in New Brunswick . In other words, if you use, or purchased Canadian Payroll AND have payroll in New Brunswick, this change will impact you.

Summary Statement

  • Please be advised that July 2021 Tax Tables are now available to be downloaded. These changes are only for the province of New Brunswick. If you do not have a New Brunswick payroll, the update is not required.

ATTENTION: New “File Transferring Process” in the Jonas Cloud

To improve security and performance when transferring files between the Jonas Cloud and your workstation, we are transitioning from the Q-Dir solution to the Microsoft OneDrive solution. Over the coming weeks, we will be enabling MS OneDrive on your Jonas Cloud instance so that you can setup, configure and use it.

Who is impacted by this?

If you are currently using Jonas Cloud as your hosting option, this impacts you.

IMPORTANT: We will provide you training materials in the form of KB Articles and Training Videos.

For a short time, you will be able to use both Q-Dir and MS OneDrive. This timing overlap is intended to enable you to use Q-Dir, while familiarizing yourself with MS OneDrive. Once you’ve gained confidence using MS OneDrive for your file transferring requirements, we’ll remove Q-Dir from your Jonas Cloud instance. From that moment forward, MS OneDrive will then be your more secure and faster file transferring solution.

Jonas Cloud “MS OneDrive Early Adopters” are very pleased with the increase in performance and speed, so we are very excited to launch MS OneDrive on the Jonas Cloud!

Here are the two key dates to remember:

  1. On June 28th, MS OneDrive will be available to you (as well as Q-Dir)
  2. On July 6th:, Q-Dir will be removed from the Jonas Cloud

As we get closer to these dates, we will be sending you more emails reminding you of these dates; and providing you access to the KB Articles and Training Videos for MS OneDrive.

On May 17, 2021 we’ll be rolling out the product update for the latest Jonas version.

  • If you are on version 12.8, you will be updated to 12.8.2300.

What Action Do I Need To Take?

Ontario WCB/WSIB Maximum Assessable (Insurable) Earnings Update

ACTION REQUIRED – Ontario has lowered the Maximum Assessable Earnings. Effective immediately, please update Ontario WCB/WSIB Maximum Assessable Earnings in Jonas.

Who’s affected?

  • If you use, or purchased Canadian Payroll, and you process payroll in Ontario, this change will impact you.

Summary Statement

  • Please be advised that Ontario WSIB has recently announced they are lowering the maximum assessable earnings for 2021 from $102,800 to $97,308. If this affects you, please update the Ontario WCB Maximum setting in your Jonas software.

If this impacts me, is there anything I need to do?

  • You will need to manually update the ‘maximum amount’ setting in Jonas by going under Canadian Payroll > Payroll Configuration > WCB Asses. Maximums. Select year 21, province ON and update the amount under the Yearly Maximum field to $97,308.

Action Required: Hotfix on May 6th 2021

On the morning of Thursday, May 6th, we will be providing a hotfix update for Field Time, Field Manager, Jonas Documents and EBI. Please perform a backup of Data Mart prior to May 5th at 11:59pm Local Time.

Who was affected?

  • This affects you if you currently own and use the following modules – Field Time, Field Manager, Jonas Documents and Enterprise Business Intelligence.

Summary Statement

  • We are performing a hotfix in order to resolve minor issues in Jonas Documents, Field Time, Field Manager and EBI. The update will be completed automatically. Please backup your Data Mart. If you use Jonas Cloud, your backup is completed by our Jonas Cloud Team.

When & What is Happening?

On the evening of Wednesday, May 5th, we will be initiating a hotfix update that will take full effect on Thursday, May 6th 2021 at 5:00am Local Time. The following identified issues will be resolved following this update:

Field Time

  • Terminated employees were being excluded from reports exported to Excel
  • Geolocation information was removed following Approver edits or modifications
  • Clock entry Date and Time fields were not disabled when Users saved an entry and then reopened it.

Field Manager

  • Multiple Job Unit entries for the same job on the same day were not saved correctly.
  • Daily Logs was not displaying the correct entries based on status flags set in Jonas Apps Admin.

Jonas Documents

  • An issue with Filtering the documents view was not working as expected when various filters were applied.

EBI

  • In Public Reports > Job Cost > Job Details, it was found that not all costs were being included in the Job Details view. The view has been modified to ensure all available costs are included for review.
  • In Public Reports a New Templates option now available. Users will have access to the several new template reports that were recently added to the EBI application.

Why is this Happening?

If you are responsible for your own hosting:

  • Yes. Please make sure to do a backup of your Data Mart prior 11:59pm Local Time on May 5th.

If you are hosted on Jonas Cloud:

  • No. Your Data Mart backup is performed by our Jonas Cloud team.

Attention Required – Incident Report – Script Error

Who was affected?

  • If you launch Jonas using the Jonas Enterprise menu, this affected you. For reference, the Jonas Enterprise icon can be seen here.

Note – this did not impact companies that use Jonas Cloud.

Summary Statement 

  • An update to our newsfeed page caused an error in the script that displays the newsfeed within the quick menu in Jonas. This issue has now been resolved, and this communication is to provide you with an overview of what happened.

What Happened?

  • In order to display the newsfeed within the Jonas home screen, the newsfeed is hosted on a webpage, which is then brought in to the software, employing a script. In the recent update, the URL, where the newsfeed is hosted, unexpectedly changed. As a result, the wrong URL was brought in, and employed scripts that caused the errors.

How does this affect me?

  • Yesterday, on April 29th, when launching Jonas, or opening various pages within the software, you may have been prompted with this error (or a similar Script Error):

If this impacts me, is there anything I need to do?

  • If you are not seeing this error when logging into Jonas, or in various screens, there is no impact to you.
  • If you are still experiencing this issue, it is due to the scripts being caught in your cache. In order to resolve this, we suggest restarting Jonas. As a second measure, we suggest restarting your computer.
  • If you are still experiencing issues after attempting both suggestions, please reach out directly to our support team via Jonas Connect

If there is more info coming, when can I expect it?

  • At this point, we are considering this issue resolved. That said, if we find more information to suggest that this issue is not resolved, we will communicate with you via Jonas Connect, the Newsfeed, and Email. We apologize for this inconvenience to your work day.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: Maintenance to the Jonas Communication Service

On April 20th and 27th, there will be scheduled maintenance completed on the Jonas Communication Service (JComm), which will result in a momentary outage.

Who’s affected?

  • This affects clients who use our most recent versions of Jonas JonasCommuniationService (JComm). You are receiving this email because our most recent records indicate that you currently utilize one of these versions.

Summary Statement

  • On April 20th 2021, we will be updating JComm to a new version that will enable us to automatically update SSL certificates, which we will be doing on April 27th 2021.

What is occurring?

  • SSL Certificates will be expiring on May 5th 2021 and in order to maintain ongoing service, we have coordinated a 2-step approach to update the JComm service. Each update takes approximately 20 minutes.
  • Step 1 – On April 20th 2021 at 5:00am Local Time, Jonas will be rolling out the product update for the latest Jonas Communication Service version. This new version has a feature that will allow Jonas to update SSL certificates remotely. This update will be complete by 5:20am Local Time.
  • Step 2 – On April 27th 2021 at 5:00am Local Time, Jonas will remotely update SSL certificates. This update will be complete by 5:20am Local Time.

Why is this happening?

  • SSL Certificates are responsible for executing secure communication between applications in Jonas. In order to ensure that the communication is secure, the certificates need to be routinely updated.

How does this affect me?

  • This makes your job easier – By updating JComm to allow us to remotely update SSL certificates, it means that now, and in the future, you will no longer need to complete that step, as you have in the past.

If this impacts me, is there anything I needs to do?

  • The only thing required, is for you to be aware that you may encounter two momentary outages. Each outage could last up to the duration of the update itself (20 minutes), though likely will be shorter. As such, it is recommended that you not submit eMobile work orders during the update periods. Those are:
  • April 20th 2021, from 5:00am-5:20am Local Time, and
  • April 27th 2021, from 5:00am-5:20am Local Time

If there is more info coming, when can I expect it? 

  • We will be sending you a follow up email, after April 27th 2021, to inform you that all has been updated successfully. If your update is unsuccessful, we will reach out to your business directly to address the situation.

ATTENTION REQUIRED: Notice of Jonas Cloud outage!

Earlier today, between the hours of 1:30pm EDT and 3:30pm EDT there was an issue that prevented Jonas Cloud users from launching Jonas apps.

This affected all customers who use Jonas Cloud as their hosting platform for Jonas. At 1:50pm EDT, the Active Directory service became no longer available. The Active Directory is responsible for user authentication and password verification.

This means that without this functionality, users trying to launch the Jonas Apps would not have been verified, and therefore seen an error.

As of 3:30pm EDT, this issue is no longer affecting any users, and has been resolved. The Active Directory was restored, thereby providing authentication and verification for users as they launch Jonas Apps. In order to ensure that this does not happen again in the future, we have made architectural changes to the Jonas Cloud infrastructure.
