Jonas Implementation

What to expect from signing to go-live, who is on your Jonas team, and where to track progress.

Your Implementation Pathway

Implementing Jonas is a structured process, not a software install. From kickoff to go-live, you work with a dedicated team that knows construction accounting and service operations, follows a defined pathway with clear phases and milestones, and stays with you through training and your first live cycles.

  1. Step 1 of 6Readiness Check / Platform Setup

We start by getting your Jonas environment ready and building a clear implementation roadmap around your business.

Your Project Manager and your Trainer work with your team to establish milestones, responsibilities, timelines, and next steps so everyone knows what to expect from the beginning. You’ll also identify your internal Jonas champion and prepare your team for a smooth implementation.

The goal: Create a clear path forward with the right people, priorities, and expectations in place from day one.

  2. Step 2 of 6Data Preparation

A successful implementation starts with the right data.

Jonas provides a structured process to help prepare key information such as your chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, employees, inventory, and other applicable master data.

Your Jonas consultant guides you throughout the process, helping answer questions, review requirements, identify issues, and support the preparation and upload of your information into Jonas.

This is also an opportunity to clean up outdated information and start with a more organized foundation.

The goal: Bring the right information into Jonas and start with cleaner, more reliable data.

  3. Step 3 of 6Discovery / Test Company

This is where Jonas starts to become your system.

Your consultant takes the time to understand your accounting processes, workflows, reporting requirements, operational needs, and the areas you want to improve.

Using what we learn during discovery, we configure a test company that reflects your organization and gives your team a safe environment to explore Jonas using familiar business information.

The test company continues to evolve throughout the implementation as your team tests processes and your consultant refines the configuration.

The goal: Let your team see, test, and help shape how Jonas will work before going live.

  4. Step 4 of 6Training / User Acceptance Testing

We believe the best way to learn Jonas is by using it.

Your team receives hands-on training in your test company, working through the same activities they’ll perform after go-live.

Between sessions, users practice key workflows while your consultant reviews progress, answers questions, and helps fine-tune the system where needed.

Training and testing happen together, helping your team build confidence while confirming that your processes are ready for production.

The goal: Make sure your users are comfortable and prepared before day one.

  5. Step 5 of 6Data Migration

As go-live approaches, we work with your team to move the remaining information needed to begin operating in Jonas.

Depending on your implementation, this may include active jobs, general ledger information, open receivables and payables, payroll year-to-date information, purchase orders, inventory, work orders, and other applicable operational data.

Your Jonas consultant supports the upload process, helps identify issues, and works with your team to validate key balances and information before go-live.

Before production begins, your team reviews the migrated information to confirm that it aligns with your source system and is ready for use.

The goal: Enter go-live with data that has been reviewed, validated, and is ready to support your business.

  6. Step 6 of 6Go Live

Go-live is where all of the preparation comes together. Once training, testing, configuration, and data validation are complete, your live company is prepared and your team begins working in Jonas from day one.

Our goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible, minimizing duplicate entry between your previous system and Jonas. Your team can begin processing in Jonas immediately, with your consultant on hand through the initial go-live period to answer questions, resolve outstanding items, and support key activities such as payroll, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and month-end.

Where it makes sense, we can also use a phased approach: getting your core accounting and essential operations live first, then introducing additional functionality as your team becomes comfortable.

The goal: Start using Jonas from day one with minimal disruption, no unnecessary double entry, and the support you need to move forward confidently.

What Our Customers Say

Bill Skorobohach VP of Facility Services, VETS Sheet Metal

"The trainers we had were extremely knowledgeable and were very honest with us. During the initial kick-off, they really took the time to understand our business needs, which made the whole training process that much smoother"

Patricia Hill Project Coordinator, Dorsett Technologies

"An ERP can either work or not work, and a lot of that is based on the implementation. And Jonas has had the best implementation process of any of the other ERPs I've worked with."
