5 Takeaways from Breakthrough 2026

On this page

We just wrapped up Breakthrough, our annual customer conference, and the energy was unlike anything we’ve seen before. From candid conversations on the show floor to a memorable evening at the Niagara Power Station, this year’s event made one thing crystal clear: Jonas customers aren’t just users, they’re builders, collaborators, and genuine advocates for each other.

5 takeaways that stood out

1. Nothing Beats Collaboration

No breakout session or keynote can replicate what happens when contractors get in a room together. This year, customers were constantly sharing tips, workarounds, and best practices with each other — often unprompted, and outside of any scheduled programming. Whether it was a quick hallway conversation or a deep-dive discussion over lunch, the peer-to-peer learning was relentless. It’s a reminder that some of the most valuable knowledge in this industry lives with the people doing the work every day.

2. Jonas Customers Are Constantly Scaling

The continual growth happening across our customer base is real. This year, the number of multi-entity Jonas customers was hard to miss. As acquisition opportunities open up (a MEP contractor acquiring a metal fabrication company to expand their service offering, for example), more companies are standardizing their new entities on Jonas. In fact, we heard from several customers that they manage double-digit subsidiary companies all running on Jonas. The reasons make sense: one source of truth for accounting roll-up, a single platform to train staff on, and more value extracted from a software investment that’s already in place.

3. Our Customers Drive Our Roadmap

Jonas is built for construction. We don’t split our focus across a dozen industries, which means the feedback we collect from our customers actually shapes what we build next. Breakthrough is one of the best opportunities for this exchange of information. Customers hear where the product is heading, and we hear what’s working, what’s missing, and what matters most on the job. That loop is one of the most valuable things a company can have, and this year’s conversations were some of the most candid and constructive yet.

4. Passionate About Getting More From Their Software

Power users showed up in force at Breakthrough, and they came from every corner of the business, from field operations to back office. These are people who’ve gone deep on the software, want to keep pushing it further, and genuinely enjoy helping others do the same. That kind of passion isn’t manufactured, it comes from customers who’ve made a real investment and want to see it pay off. The Jonas user groups are always welcoming new members who want to learn more. If you’re curious about joining, reach out to your account manager for more details.

5. Niagara Falls Was the Right Call

The venue did a lot of work this year. Niagara Falls gave attendees a genuinely impressive backdrop without the chaos of a major city, easy to navigate, lots to see and explore, and a setting that naturally brought people together. The offsite event at the historic Niagara Power Station was a highlight: well-run, great food and drink, and the kind of atmosphere that made it easy to keep the conversations going. The venue teams executed it well, and it showed.

The Best Part? You.

Breakthrough 2026 reinforced something we already believed: when you bring the right people together in the right place, good things happen. We’re grateful to every customer who made the trip, shared their feedback, and invested their time. See you at the next one.
