5 Takeaways from Breakthrough 2026

June 12, 2026

Jonas customers gathered in Niagara Falls, Ontario, from May 12 to 14 for Breakthrough 2026, the annual Jonas customer conference. From candid conversations on the show floor to a memorable evening at the historic Niagara Power Station, the event made one thing clear: Jonas customers aren’t just users, they’re builders, collaborators and genuine advocates for each other.

5 takeaways that stood out

1. Nothing beats collaboration

No breakout session or keynote can replicate what happens when contractors get in a room together. Customers were constantly sharing tips, workarounds and best practices with each other, often unprompted and outside of any scheduled programming. Whether it was a quick hallway conversation or a deep-dive discussion over lunch, the peer-to-peer learning was relentless. It’s a reminder that some of the most valuable knowledge in this industry lives with the people doing the work every day.

2. Jonas customers are constantly scaling

The growth across the Jonas customer base was hard to miss, especially the number of multi-entity customers. As acquisition opportunities open up (an MEP contractor acquiring a metal fabrication company to expand its service offering, for example), more companies are standardizing their new entities on Jonas. Several customers manage double-digit subsidiary companies, all running on Jonas. The reasons make sense: one source of truth for accounting roll-up, a single platform to train staff on, and more value from a software investment that’s already in place.

3. Customers drive the roadmap

Jonas is built for construction. It doesn’t split its focus across a dozen industries, so customer feedback directly shapes what gets built next. Breakthrough is one of the best opportunities for that exchange: customers hear where the product is heading, and the Jonas team hears what’s working, what’s missing and what matters most on the job. This year’s conversations were some of the most candid and constructive yet.

4. Passionate about getting more from their software

Power users showed up in force, from every corner of the business, from field operations to the back office. These are people who’ve gone deep on the software, want to keep pushing it further and enjoy helping others do the same. That kind of passion comes from customers who’ve made a real investment and want to see it pay off. The Jonas user groups are always welcoming new members; customers interested in joining can reach out to their Account Manager for details.

5. Niagara Falls was the right call

Niagara Falls gave attendees an impressive backdrop without the chaos of a major city: easy to navigate, plenty to see and explore, and a setting that naturally brought people together. The offsite event at the historic Niagara Power Station was a highlight, with great food and drink and the kind of atmosphere that kept the conversations going.

The best part? Our customers.

Breakthrough 2026 reinforced something Jonas already believed: when you bring the right people together in the right place, good things happen. Thank you to every customer who made the trip, shared their feedback and invested their time. See you at the next one.
