Summary
Brian Froning arrived at Bates Electric in 2008 to find the company printing stacks of paper and running separate databases for purchase orders, construction, and service. There was no single source of truth. The team interacted with multiple disconnected systems just to get basic work done. Bates Electric has since grown to nearly 200 employees and over 250 vehicles, covering a 50-mile radius outside Tampa as well as the entire state of Florida for service.
Moving to Jonas brought everything into one platform. Live reports now give the team access to real numbers at any time, without digging across systems. The impact on the service side of the business has been significant. During the transition, service revenues grew from six million to over ten million dollars. Profits moved from six percent to over fifteen percent. Brian and Controller Peter Papageorge vetted four or five platforms before selecting Jonas. After that process they chose Jonas, and both are clear that it was the right call.
